Our client, a highly successful manufacturing business based in Newcastle Upon Tyne are looking to appoint a Fulfilment & Despatch Manager on a permanent basis, to lead a team of 30 operatives in the smooth running of the department.

The overall function of the role will be to manage two departments which include a fulfilment operation and the dispatch of completed orders from the facility to the customer. Duties will include:

·Managing a very busy fulfilment team to ensure orders are finished and ready for despatch

·Ensuring products are dispatched on time in accordance with quality requirements

·Managing and motivating a team of staff, ensuring an effective distribution operation

·Monitoring site production to ensure orders are completed on time and in full

·Planning work rotas

·Organising staff training and recruitment

·Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations

·Implementing improvements to the distribution operation

·Carrying out performance management and managing absence

In order to be considered for the role, the right candidate must have direct experience of managing a complex assembly or fulfilment operation within a fast-paced environment.

The role will be on Dayshift Monday-Friday, and the company is offering an annual salary of £35,000 per annum for the right person.
