Job description

SG Personnel was formed in 2013, is based in Doxford International Business Park in Sunderland and is a successful recruitment agency providing temporary labour to manufacturing and distribution companies across the North East.

As part of our growth in recent times, we are looking to recruit an experienced payroll assistant/clerk to join the team in our office. This role will be part-time, however flexibility for full time hours for holiday cover, if required, would be an advantage.

The role will be involved in the weekly inputting of timesheets and the processing of pay via BACS.

Duties will include:
  • Forwarding and receipt of completed timesheets from clients
  • Accurate data input across a variety of different rates and rules
  • Inputting and checking workers bank details and personal information
  • Starter checklist details
  • Transfer of data onto a dedicated payroll software
  • Processing of pay via BACS
  • Processing of payslips and invoices
  • Producing weekly payroll reports
The ideal candidate will have the following skills:
  • 12 months experience in a similar role
  • Exceptional accuracy of the input process
  • The ability to understand various schedules for clients pay rates and identify possible issues before processing pay
  • Available Monday, Tuesday and Friday between 8.30am and 5pm, with the flexibility on occasions for additional hours for holiday cover
This role will be offered as a permanent contract.

The full time salary for this position would be £19,500
