Job description
Our client, a manufacturing business, has an exciting opportunity in their fast paced Distribution department which will be based in Washington.
In this role, you will be responsible for leading a team in the storage and distribution of products while meeting customers delivery and quality standards. Liaising with other Unit Coordinators and Unit Supervisors to ensure deadlines are met in a productive and efficient manner providing training whilst setting best working practices.
Exceptional service to customers both internal and external is the key operational requirement of this role along with the need for excellent man management
Key Responsibilities
·Lead team and support in the distributing of products on time and to customer specifications.
·Provide training to new starters and operators in training and communicate training matrix updates.
·Lead team to achieve targets.
·Measuring and reporting the effectiveness of the department activities. Measure, track and monitor all assigned KPIâs
·Lead daily team briefings
·Set clear team goals
·Create an inspiring team environment with an open communication culture.
·Proactive with an eye for problem solving and continuous improvement.
Skills, Attributes & Experience
⢠at least 2 years warehouse experience in a fast paced environment
⢠At least 6 - 12 months experience in a leadership role within a warehouse
â¢Possess relevant IT skills in basic MS Office applications - outlook, work & Excel along with knowledge of the E1 system.
- Salary - £24,500 including shift pay
- Holidays â 25 excluding bank holidays
- Bonus this year based on 90 day objective £125 per quarter , and £500 year end depending on business hitting EBITDA target.
- Team size 5-10
- Interview process - informal first interview followed by a more formal interview with Management
SHIFTS; 6am-2pm AND 2pm-10pm (weekly rotation).
